Privacy Notice
How we use the details you give us when you request a quote or write to us.

Who we are
Snijders and Creasey Yacht Management is run by Olav Snijders, in the Netherlands, and Joseph Creasey, in England. We decide how the details you give us are used. To contact us about your details, use the contact form.
What we collect
When you request a quote or write to us, we collect:
- your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number;
- details of the yacht, such as its name, type, size, flag, year and location;
- details of the service you ask about, such as ports, dates and any notes you add;
- your role, if you tell us (for example owner, broker or captain).
Our server also records basic technical information, such as your internet address and the time of each request, to keep the site secure and prevent misuse.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and arrange any work you ask us to carry out. We do so because you have asked us to take these steps before a possible agreement, and because we have a legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell them.
Services we use to prepare a quote
To find your yacht and price a quote, we look up public information:
- the yacht’s name is checked against a public vessel register (VesselFinder);
- the yacht’s details and the route are sent to a research service (Perplexity) to find the sea distance and fuel use;
- the places you type are looked up on a map service (OpenStreetMap).
Your name, email address and phone number are not sent to these services.
If you go ahead with work, we share what is needed with those involved, such as a shipyard, marina, shipping line or insurer, and only with your agreement.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry does not lead to work, we keep your details for up to two years, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep them for as long as the work requires, and for as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Its fonts and icons are served from our own website.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete them, object to how we use them, or ask us to limit their use. To do so, use the contact form. You may also complain to the data protection authority: the Information Commissioner’s Office in the United Kingdom, or the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your details, we will update this page and the date at the top.
